Detailed Course Content
Organometallic Chemistry
- Introduction to organometallic chemistry: classification; nomenclature; reactivity;
- Organometallic chemistry of main group elements: synthesis, structure and general properties;
- Molecular orbital diagrams of transition metal complexes;
- Organometallic chemistry of transition elements. Metal hydrocarbyls, metal olefins, metal carbonyls; metal cyclopentadienyls, metal hydrides: synthesis, structure and properties.
- Reaction steps of transition metal catalyzed reactions;
- Homogeneous catalysis by transition metal complexes;
- Organometallic materials for nonlinear optics.
