Organometallic Chemistry

  • Introduction to organometallic chemistry: classification; nomenclature; reactivity;
  • Organometallic chemistry of main group elements: synthesis, structure and general properties;
  • Molecular orbital diagrams of transition metal complexes;
  • Organometallic chemistry of transition elements. Metal hydrocarbyls, metal olefins, metal carbonyls; metal cyclopentadienyls, metal hydrides: synthesis, structure and properties.
  • Reaction steps of transition metal catalyzed reactions;
  • Homogeneous catalysis by transition metal complexes;
  • Organometallic materials for nonlinear optics.
