DSC Educational offer
Study programmes
The educational offer of the Department of Chemical Sciences (DSC) includes programmes at three levels: Bachelor’s degree (first cycle), Master’s degree (second cycle), and PhD programmes (third cycle).
- First cycle: Bachelor’s degree programmes (class L-27)
-
The Department of Chemical Sciences offers two Bachelor’s degree programmes:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry ( study regulations a.y. 2024–2025 (PDF), approved by the Academic Senate on 23 July 2024)
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry ( study regulations a.y. 2024–2025 (PDF), approved by the Academic Senate on 23 July 2024), which from the academic year 2025–2026 will be updated to Bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Chemistry for Industry, Environment and Energy.
These programmes provide a solid theoretical and practical background, including laboratory activities and internship opportunities, preparing students for careers in scientific and industrial sectors or for further studies at the Master’s level.
- Second cycle: Master’s degree programme (class LM-54)
-
The Master’s degree in Chemical Sciences ( study regulations a.y. 2024–2025 (PDF), approved by the Academic Senate on 23 July 2024) offers four curricula:
- Biomolecular Chemistry (CABLE)
- Materials Chemistry and Nanotechnology
- Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry (COB)
- Industry, Environment and Cultural Heritage (IABC)
Each curriculum is designed to develop specific skills and knowledge, preparing students for careers in research, industry, or education, also through advanced laboratory activities and research projects.
- Second cycle: Master’s degree programmes (LM-54) being phased out
- Third cycle: PhD programmes
