PNLS - Cross-cutting and Interdisciplinary STEM Activities

The laboratory activities and practical projects are at the heart of the program, with a focus on chemistry and innovation. Among the main initiatives:

• Scientific laboratories and STEM career guidance:

  • Orienta Scienza 2 (Liceo “Amari” in Giarre, CT) – Chemistry and biology laboratories aimed at guiding students towards STEM careers.

  • Laboratorio di Montedoro (Caltanissetta) – Hands-on chemistry laboratory experiences for high school students.

  • "La mia scuola Idroponica" Project (IIS “Ramacca-Palagonia”) – An innovative project combining chemistry and environmental sustainability.

• Workshops and teacher training:

  • Didacta Sicilia (October 2023) – Workshops for teachers on chemistry and artificial intelligence in secondary education.

  • STEM Teacher Training (April 2024) – Continuing education meetings to enhance pedagogical and scientific skills of teachers.

• Scientific events:

  • Sharper Night – Researchers' night, an event designed to stimulate interest in scientific research.
