Regional Award Ceremony of the Chemistry Games 2026 at the Department of Chemical Sciences

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM, the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Catania will host the award ceremony of the regional round of the Chemistry Games 2026, a national competition promoted by the Italian Chemical Society and addressed to upper secondary school students.

The initiative is coordinated by the Italian Chemical Society – Sicily Section, chaired by Prof. Cosimo Fortuna, with the organizational support of Dr. Angelo Nicosia.

During the ceremony, which will take place at the Department’s premises (Viale Andrea Doria 6, University Campus), top-ranked students in categories A, B, and C, as well as the winning team, will be awarded. All participants will also receive certificates of participation.

The event represents an opportunity to promote scientific excellence and to strengthen the connection between schools and universities, in line with the University’s mission in science outreach.
