Spring School: The Future is Chemistry
Spring School of the Department of Chemical Sciences
March 2026
The Spring School, aimed at PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, and Master’s students, will provide a comprehensive overview of the most promising perspectives for future chemists, as well as training courses on transferable skills, scientific writing, ethical issues, and technology transfer.
The initiative is funded by the SAFI3 project (Advanced Interdisciplinary Training School for Innovation and Internationalization). Participation is free of charge, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, with 10 places reserved for students from the Italian University Schools for Advanced Studies: Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI, coordinator), Scuola Superiore di Catania (SSC), Istituto Superiore Universitario di Formazione Interdisciplinare (ISUFI), and Scuola Superiore Meridionale (SSM).
Students from GSSI, ISUFI, and SSM Schools will be eligible for financial support to cover travel and accommodation expenses up to a maximum of €300.
Places will be allocated with priority given to PhD students, followed by post-doctoral researchers and finally Master’s students.
All participants are invited to present their research activities, including preliminary work or thesis-related projects, through posters, optionally accompanied by a short flash oral presentation.
The poster session will be open to the public; selected participants are encouraged to extend the invitation to family members or friends (maximum two guests per participant).
Information regarding admitted candidates to the Spring School will be published on this page.
