LFSN - Thin Film and Nanostructure Laboratory
Edificio 1 - corpo D - piano terra (Lab6)Person in charge: Giuseppe Romano COMPAGNINI
Our skills are mainly related to nanoscience and nanotechnology with a particular relevance to:
- laser nano-materials processing
- surfaces and thin films
Researchers have developed strong competences in the field of plasmonics and carbon based nanomaterials for catalysis and sensors applications through long lasting industrial partnerships.
The laboratory is equipped with several spectroscopic and microscopic techniques such as: Optical and Atomic Force Microscopes, Dynamic Light Scattering machines, Raman, FT-IR, UV-vis, Fluorescence and photoelectron spectroscopies. Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS), Nanosecond Lasers and a CVD system for graphene growth.
