Physics I
Academic Year 2022/2023 - Teacher: Giuseppe POLITIExpected Learning Outcomes
The main purpose of this course of Physics is to introduce the scientific approaching methods, and to provide an adequate knowledge of basic concepts of kinematics and dynamics, together with solving problem capabilities in this domain.

Should the circumstances require online teaching, appropriate modifications to what is hereby stated may be introduced, in order to achieve the main objectives of the course.

Motion in one and three dimensions, position, velocity and acceleration.
Force, mass and dynamics laws.
Kinetic Energy and Work. Potential Energy and Conservation of Energy.
Centre of Mass and Linear Momentum. Linear momentum conservation.
Motion of a rigid body, rotation. Torque, Angular Momentum and conservation.
Gravitation.
Fluids.
Oscillations.
