Giovanni Li Destri Nicosia obtained a Master's Degree in Chemistry cum laude (2006) from the University of Catania and a PhD in Chemical Sciences from the same university (2010). He then continued his research activity as a post-doc researcher at the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Catania (2010-2013), the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (2013-2016) in Grenoble, France, and again at the Department of Chemical Sciences of the University of Catania (2017). In 2018 he was appointed Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry in the framework of the “Programma Giovani Ricercatori Rita Levi Montalcini”. Since 2021 he has been Associate Professor of Physical Chemistry.

 

Research activity.

The research activity of prof. Li Destri Nicosia is mainly focused on the physico-chemical study of soft interfaces and has led to the publication of over 50 articles, in collaboration, published in international scientific journals, and to its presentation in over 30 presentations, in national and international conferences. international events, including some by invitation. As part of this research activity, prof. Li Destri Nicosia regularly acts as a reviewer of scientific articles for numerous international scientific journals including ACS Nano, Langmuir, The Journal of Physical Chemistry, Small, Journal of Applied Polymer Science, Soft Matter, Mendeleev Communications, Gels, Materials, Beilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, Journal of Colloids and Interface Science, Nanomaterials.
