  • The Department of Chemical Sciences – University of Catania has published a call for 3 Erasmus+ mobilities (KA131) for participation in the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “Discovering Research in a European Context”. The call is open to first-year PhD students enrolled for the a.y. 2025/2026, with at least B2 level of English (CEFR). The programme includes a virtual mobility (9–13 March 2026) and a physical mobility (16–20 March 2026) at the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France (UPHF, France), with 3 ECTS awarded (more information available on the EUNICE website: https://eunice-university.eu/course/discovering-research-in-a-european-context/). Applications to: dsc@unict.it (deadline: 13 January 2026, 12:00 p.m).

  • 15.07.2025 - deadline for application ERASMUS+ – Key Action 131: The Department of Chemical Sciences is promoting the participation of 5 students, including PhD candidates, in the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) titled:"Bio-inspired Chemistry for Sustainable Development". This is a unique opportunity for PhD students to deepen their knowledge of advanced topics in bio-inspired chemistry within an international and multidisciplinary context, encouraging discussion and networking with students and researchers from across Europe. Required language proficiency: English, minimum B2 level (CEFR). Programme structure: Virtual mobility: September 1–4, 2025; Physical mobility: September 8–12, 2025; Location: Poznan University of Technology, Poznań, Poland.   • 15–19.09.2025 - International School "WATER" – Advanced Water Treatment Technologies. The University of Naples Federico II, in collaboration with the University of Amsterdam and the University of A Coruña, is organizing the International School “WATER”, a training initiative aimed at Master’s and PhD students in Chemical Sciences and Chemical Engineering. The school provides advanced training on cutting-edge technologies for water treatment through a guided and interactive learning experience. Participants will design and develop a complete water purification process, starting from the synthesis and characterization of solid materials (such as adsorbents and catalysts), to the application of innovative techniques like adsorption, photodegradation, and the use of alternative energy sources, including ultrasound. The school will be held in Naples, at the Department of Chemical Sciences, University of Naples Federico II, from September 15 to 19, 2025. Participation is free and registration is now open.
