DSC Educational offer

The educational offer of the Department of Chemical Sciences (DSC) includes courses structured on the three levels (bachelor, master, doctorate).

Bachelor’s Level: Two Three-Year Degree Programs (L-27)

The Department of Chemical Sciences offers two distinct three-year bachelor’s degree programs, each designed to meet specific academic and professional needs: one in Chemistry (academic regulations for the 2024–25 academic year, approved by the Academic Senate on July 23, 2024), and one in Industrial Chemistry (academic regulations for the 2024–25 academic year, approved by the Academic Senate on July 23, 2024). Starting from the 2025–26 academic year, the Industrial Chemistry program will be updated and renamed Sustainable Chemistry for Industry, Environment, and Energy. Both programs provide a strong theoretical and practical foundation, with well-equipped laboratories and internship opportunities, preparing students for careers in various scientific and industrial sectors or for further studies in master’s degree programs.

Master’s Level: One Master’s Degree Program (LM-54) with 4 Specializations

The Master's Degree in Chemical Sciences (academic regulations for the 2024–25 academic year, approved by the Academic Senate on July 23, 2024) offers four specialization tracks, allowing students to focus on different areas of chemistry through comprehensive and diversified training. The four available study paths include: Biomolecular Chemistry (CABLE), Materials Chemistry and Nanotechnologies, Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry (COB), Industry, Environment, and Cultural Heritage (IABC).

Each curriculum is designed to deepen specific skills and knowledge, preparing students for careers in research, industry, or education. Students will have the opportunity to work on advanced research projects, access modern laboratories, and engage with experienced faculty, ensuring a training experience that blends theory and practice to address today’s scientific challenges.

Master’s Level: Phasing-Out Master’s Degree Programs (LM-54)
