“The Future is Chemistry” Spring School hosted by the Department of Chemical Sciences

From 30 March to 2 April 2026, an advanced training school dedicated to the future prospects of chemistry, frontier research, innovation, and sustainable development.

From 30 March to 2 April 2026, the Department of Chemical Sciences at the University of Catania will host the Spring School “The Future is Chemistry”, an initiative funded by the Scuola Superiore di Catania under the SAFI3 – Advanced Interdisciplinary Training School for Innovation and Internationalization project.

The school aims to provide a broad and interdisciplinary overview of the future prospects of chemistry and frontier studies in key strategic areas, including advanced materials, energy, health, environment, synthesis processes, and waste valorization for the production of value-added materials and products.

The program will also include sessions focused on developing soft skills, with activities on paper writing, ethical issues in scientific research, and topics related to technology transfer, aiming to equip participants with tools useful for academic and professional careers.

The Spring School is intended for PhD students, post-docs, and master’s students interested in exploring advanced research topics and engaging with scholars and researchers active in key areas of contemporary chemistry.
