Metallomics and the Chemistry of Evolution. Cellular uptake of biometals. Intracellular trafficking of copper and zinc. The network of Metallostasis. The interconnected network of metallome and proteome. Signaling roles of zinc and copper. Proteostasis and evolvability. Protein degradation and metal ions. Proteases, Ubiquitin-Proteasome System, Autofagy. Neurodegeneration and metal ions. Angiogenesis and copper. Metal ions and cancer processes.
